Details:
A 7 metre vessel with 3 people on board reported they had run aground off the main channel inside Tauranga Harbour. All safe, no damage, skipper decided to await the flood tide to refloat, Tauranga Coasguard stood down

Details:
Rescue Coordination centre advised Tauranga Coastguard of an EPIRB activation in the area. Both Air patrol and Tauranga Coastguard activated to standby. Very shortly after, it was found to be a faulty EPIRB, all agencies stood down

Details:
Police called to advise a vessel in the inner harbour had run aground and as a result had no propulsion. Rescue 2 activated in time to find vessel had engine going and able to help themselves. Rescue 2 stood down.

Details:
Call from police to advise small dinghy had been spotted adrift in the inner harbour with 1 adult and 2 children onboard. An "All Stations" call was made and a vessel in the area located the dinghy to find all safe, and to assist. Coastguard Stood Down

Details:
An 11 metre yacht with 2 people onboard advised they had a flat battery, could not start engine and required assistance. Rescue 2 was activated and attended the yacht at Motuhoa Island, jump started the engine. The yacht made her own way back to port.
