Membership entitles you to the use of the radio channels, rapid assistance should you require it and a number of benefits. For a modest annual subscription you can have peace of mind and enjoy a number of discounts and benefits available to members.
Membership also gives access to a full range of boating education courses. For further information contact your local coastguard unit, or submit the membership application from this site.
There are a number of membership categories available to cater for a wide range of participation within Eastern Region Coastguard:
Regular Membership:
Many thousands of private boat owners and skippers enjoy Regular Membership with access to all benefits and services.
Become an active member of Coastguard
Benefits may include discounts on Insurance, fuel and access to low cost phone calls. Services include free use of radio channels, rapid assistance and access to boating education.
Volunteer Membership:
People who give of their time, ingenuity and effort enjoy Volunteer Membership with the special training and exciting experience it involves. This includes Radio Operations, First Aid and Rescue Crew membership.

Life Membership
A number of regular mariners enjoy priviledged life member status
Corporate Membership:
Undertaken by commercial boating operators who operate one, or a number of vessels.
Complimentary Membership:
A special priviledged category bestowed upon extraordinary benefactors at the discretion of the coastguard Unit board of management.
Associate Membership: - a low cost option for crew or family members.
